This is my working history of the Collins Family which includes events from the series, interesting dates and as well a continuity for my fan fictions as well as a theoretical POST-1960 continuity for the family tree. All feedback would be appreciated:
1194BC- Barnabas, one of the sons of Priam of Troy, manages to escaped the Greeks with Dardanian prince Aeneas, and later helps him to conquer Latium, future site of Rome.
59AD- Disgusted by the slaughter of Christians in the name of the Olympian Gods, the god Zeus orders the Olympians to sever ties to earth. The other fourteen pantheons of Earth, from the Anasazi of North America to the Kami of Japan, eventually follow their lead.
The Immortals of earth pursue mortal pursuits after retiring their godly responsibilities. (Hercules: Rebirth)
62AD- Gabrielle, a bard from Poteideia, marries Quintus, a descendant of Barnabas, and begins writing the Xena Scrolls.
73AD? - The religion of Witchcraft is the last pagan religion left although Satanism will evolve out of it by followers pursuing darker entities.
415AD- A Roman General, Collieus, a descendant of Quintus, arrives in England and is spared by King Arthur.
1194AD- Archibald Collins, a descendant of Collieus, helps to restore Richard the Lion Hearted to the English Throne. He becomes one of the first Earls of Devonshire.
1458- Ebenezer Collins, 17th Earl of Devonshire, after chosen by King Henry VI to investigate political instability in Carpathia vanishes while en route to the court of Vlad Tepes.
1606- Fay Collins disappears in Vienna while a guest of Elizabeth Bathory.
1638- The ghost of Robert Collins leads his sons, Paul and Matthew, to the site in Paris, France where he was killed by thieves.
1672- Angelique Miranda DuVal is born to Valerie DuVal. Her father is unknown, but is rumored to be a descendant of Thor Odinson.
1669- Hester Bouchard escapes Salem on the onset of the Salem Witchcraft trials.
1680- Isaac Collins crosses the Atlantic eager to make his fortune. He lands at Frenchman's Bay and founds Collinsport. (DS: Legends)
1681- A headless horseman terrorizes Collinsport. (DS: Legends)
1690- Collinsport charter drawn up and ratified as the community is recognized as a city.
1692 FALL- Amadeus Collins tries and sentences Judah Zachary in court for witchcraft, murder and related charges as Angelique leaves Collinsport.
1693- Charles Dawson, one of Judah’s most devoted followers, departs Collinsport and eventually ends up in Blair, Maryland (future site of Burkittsville).
1695- Angelique arrives in Martinique.
1735- Laura Murdoch-Radcliff, the future Phoenix, is born.
1765- Laura succeeds in making a pact with Ra for eternal life. Her immortality begins with a death blamed on a candle.
1770- Barnabas Collins is born.
1775- January 25- Laura dies in one of her first lives, as the wife of the first Jeremiah Collins.
1792,April 7- Nathan and Suki Forbes married.
1793- Baron Victor Von Frankenstein, heir to the Swiss barony, creates and animates a cadaver built from pieces of dead bodies near Ingolstadt, Bavaria (now part of Germany).
1795,October 12- Victoria Winters arrives from 1967.
1795, WINTER- Dr. Sam Beckett inexplicably leaps into Peter Bradford during the trial of Victoria Winters accused of witchcraft. (DS: Truth)
1795, March? – Josette DuPres leaps to her death at Widow’s Hill. Countess Natalie DuPres finds Lady Kitty Hampshire from 1897 believing her to be Josette.
As Natalie is killed by the Barnabas Collins of this time, the Barnabas Collins from 1897 is concealed to restore power to the Leviathans in the Twentieth Century.
1796, April 11- Purity Brown attacked by a vampire.
1797- Count Andreas Petofi loses his hand to the Gypsies.
1803,October 3- Four dead bodies found in Bedford. Otis Green falsely confesses and is institutionalized.
1818- Mary Shelley hears about the legend of Frankenstein's Monster and commits the story into print for the first time.
1830- Otis Green released from the sanitarium.
1840,FALL- Dr. Julia Hoffman arrives from an alternate future of 1995. She is joined by Barnabas and the Professor Stokes of PT2. Saving the life of the first Quentin Collins preserves their present for them to return to 1970 a few months after they vanished.
1841,SPRING - Angelique is shot by Lamar Trask and Trask escapes into another timeline through a room at Collinwood where he dies. Julia, Barnabas and Stokes return to main time 1971.
1841,SPRING – (PT1) A strange man is found in a west wing room by Catherine Harridge and Julia Collins. He is Lamar Trask from the main timeline.
1853- While exploring Castle Dracula at Sighisoara, Count Petofi clashes with and kills Count Dracula.
1870- Quentin Collins is born to Geoffrey Collins, a Civil War veteran.
1887- Petofi passes through Martinique.
1888,August to November- An unknown serial killer dubbed Jack the Ripper slays five prostitutes in London’s White Chapel.
1890- Since revived, Dracula attempts to procure Carfax Abbey in Whitby, England.
1895,March 11- Amanda Harris "born" in New York City.
1897,WINTER- Carl Collins visits Albany, New York and meets a wild young lady named Pansy Faye, a descendant of Desmond Collins and Miranda Faye.
1897,SPRING- Sandor Racosi releases Barnabas Collins from his tomb. Shortly thereafter, Quentin Collins and Evan Handley/Nicholas Blair return Angelique to life.
1897,April 16- Beth Chavez commissions a pentagram from Ezra Braithewaite.
1897,FALL- Barnabas and Lady Kitty Hampshire are taken to 1796 by Josette's ghost. In England, Bram Stoker creates a horror novel from the papers, notes and affidavits of Johnathan Harker’s encounter with Dracula.
1897,WINTER- Having departed Collinsport, Angelique arrives in the White Chapel district of London, England and meets Samantha Spellcraft and her cousins Hilda and Zelda Spellman in nearby Borley. (DS: Angelique)
1912, April 12- Angelique returns to the United States aboard the HMS Titanic and encounters the vampire Elizabeth Bathory and the former thunder-god, Thor Odinson, in his mortal identity. (DS: Angelique)
1917,February 28- Elizabeth Stoddard is born to Jamison Collins.
1925,September 14- Roger Collins is born.
1925, October – Angelique returns to Collinwood passing herself off as the daughter of Barnabas Collins of 1897. (DS: Angelique)
1931- Jamison Collins has a heart attack while exploring the Old House, but an unidentified caller phones for help.
1945,February 21- Victoria Winters (Collins) is born in New York City. She will be raised in a foundling home because of a prenuptial agreement her mother has with another man.
1945, October- Chic Stone and Wilbur Grey deliver the Frankenstein monster to the United States where the restored Dracula tries to convert him to an obedient servant.
Lawrence Talbot as the Wolfman temporarily kills Dracula while the confused monster is lost in the waters off North Carolina.
1945, June- Destruction of the stairway in time in 1840 results in Barnabas Collins, Dr. Julia Hoffman and Professor T. E. Stokes getting stranded in Nazi Germany during the war.
Colonel Robert Hogan frees the three from Stalag 13 with the help of Angelique and the Underground working outside the camp. (Hogan’s Heroes: Shadows)
1946,July 16- Carolyn Collins Stoddard is born.
1946- (PT5) Paul and Elizabeth Stoddard adopt an abandoned baby girl found under mysterious circumstances. They name her Carolyn Elizabeth Stoddard. (DS: Otherverse)
1947, December 12- Carolyn’s younger brother, Randall Stoddard, is born, but dies eight months later. Randy’s ghost becomes Carolyn’s imaginary playmate.
1948- Liz Stoddard becomes a recluse after her husband Paul Stoddard vanishes.
1956- Roger Collins accidentally hits and kills a pedestrian and frames Burke Devlin. Roger and his wife move to Augusta, Maine.
1957-David Collins is born. He is almost named Charles Andrew Collins.
1961- Burke Devlin released from prison on good behavior. He travels to Montevideo, Uruguay to make his fortune.
William Collins arrives in this time from 1985 in a trans-am fitted with time traveling circuits and is romantically noticed by his Aunt Carolyn. (DS: Time-Track)
1963- Dr. Eric Lang gives a lecture on organ transplants. He cites the novel "Frankenstein, A Modern Prometheus," believing it to be based on historical events. In PT5, David Collins witnesses his father and mother murdered by muggers while living in New York City.
1964, September 24- The SS Minnow is stranded on an island in the South Pacific.
Former Navy Captain, Jonas Grumby and his First Mate, William “Buddy” Gilligan, are among the castaways including Thurston Howell III, his wife, Eunice Lovee Howell, Professor Roy Hinkley, Mary Ann Summers from Kansas and struggling actress Ginger Grant.
1965- Carolyn receives her high school equivalency diploma.
1966,May 27- Roger Collins and his son David return to Collinwood.
1966,June 27- Victoria Winters arrives at Collinwood as Burke Devlin returns to Collinsport.
1967,April 18- Willie Loomis releases Barnabas Collins from his tomb.
He might have been helped along by a time traveler named Dr. Samuel Beckett who realizes the dire consequences that would result if Barnabas were not released. (DS: Truth)
1967, April 25- Government agent Maxwell Smart travels to Collinsport in search of Paul Stoddard in the middle of several vampire-like attacks in town. (DS: Smart Shadows)
1967,FALL- Victoria Winters is pulled back through time during a séance to contact the ghost of Sara Collins.
1968- Believing Mary Shelley's novel to be based on a true story, Dr. Lang begins creating Adam.
1969, SPRING- Barnabas Collins uses the I-Ching to confront the ghost of Quentin Collins but inadvertently travels back through time.
1969, FALL- Barnabas returns to the present after ending up in 1795 and inadvertently bringing the Leviathans with him.
1970, SPRING- Adam (Collins) is groomed into living as a normal human being. Attending UCLA, Adam meets and dates Marilyn Munster.
1970,WINTER- Barnabas Collins enters parallel time (PT1). Dr. Julia Hoffman soon joins him. Dr. Elliott Stokes joins them in 1841 while exploring a stairway through time. (Possibly. The Stokes who joined them is also supposed to be from the PT2 timeline. The main time Stokes is replaced by his PT2 counterpart.)
1970, April 18- Sabrina Angelique Spellman is born in Salem, Massachusetts.
1970, SUMMER- In an alternate timeline (PT2), the ghosts of Gerard Stiles and Daphne Harridge conquer Collinwood.
The Barnabas Collins and Dr. Julia Hoffman of main time take the place of their counterparts in this world.
1970, June - Angelique meets Sky Rumson, a client of McMann and Tate, at the marriage of Darren Stephens and Samantha Spellcraft. (DS: Angelique)
1970,FALL- The Professor Stokes of the PT2 timeline returns to find Collinwood devastated. He meets the main time Barnabas Collins and Dr. Julia Hoffman believing them to be the native Barnabas and Julia of his time line.
Barnabas and Julia go back in time in this timeline.
1970, FALL- The Collinsport Historical Society is built on the foundation of the derelict old courthouse, which has been condemned since 1912.
1971,WINTER- Barnabas, Julia and Elliott return from 1840-41 to discover Angelique has been alive since 1897.
The Collinsport Historical Society opens to a new flurry of vampire attacks.
Barnabas and Angelique marry.
1971,September 9- William Collins born one-month premature to Barnabas and Angelique Collins.
1972,April- Jamison Collins is born to Quentin and Maggie Collins.
1972,August- Buzz Hackett returns to Collinsport on the run from the police in Detroit, Michigan. He kidnaps and holds Carolyn Stoddard for ransom.
Carolyn is rescued by Willie Loomis who she has been dating.
Willie asks her to marry him.
1973, June- Jason Roger (J.R.) Loomis is born to Willie and Carolyn Loomis.
1974, FALL- Maggie Evans-Collins opens the Collinsport Civics Center with Carolyn Stoddard-Loomis as her partner on the site of the former Todd Antique Store.
1974, September- The Partridge Family plays in Collinsport’s Autumn Festival.
1975, SUMMER- During her second pregnancy, Angelique writes her first Gothic romance novel. It’s a fictionalized version of the incidents of her relationship with Barnabas.
1975, October- In New York City, Count Dracula in his guise as an enigmatic businessman meets Barnabas and Angelique as their daughter Sara Collins is born.
David and Hallie leave Collinwood for different colleges. (DS: Legacy)
1975,October- (PT4) Victoria Winters heads to Collinwood after getting a letter from a woman named Elizabeth Collins-Stoddard claiming to be her mother.
She learns that Carolyn Stoddard is the last remaining member of the Collins family. (DS: Inheritance)
1975, December- Amanda Collins is born to Quentin and Maggie.
1975, April- Carolyn Stoddard-Loomis cleans out a storeroom to convert to a playroom for the children. Roger discovers a deed to property in Arkansas owned by his father.
Discovering oil on the land, he forms a partnership with Cliff Barnes from Dallas, Texas and clashes with Liz as well as J.R. Ewing. (DS: Opportunity)
1976- Pomegranate Press publishes Angelique’s first novel, “Dark Shadows.”
1976, WINTER- Barnabas and Angelique’s son, William, terrorizes Collinwood in their absence as they depart on their anniversary to Martinique. (DS: Family)
1978, June- Roger marries his third wife, Rachel Fillmore, an old friend from high school.
1978, August - Angelique is abducted by Ares, god of war. (DS: Goddess)
1978, September- Thurston Howell III, rescued from a raft in the South Pacific, returns to the head of his company and negotiates a business deal with Roger Collins of Collins Enterprises from Maine.
Adam Collins marries Ginger Grant and brings her to Collinwood to meet his “family.” (DS: Generations)
1979, SPRING- Carolyn Stoddard of PT4 nearly escapes to the main timeline after meeting the main time Angelique, but she is killed by the Carolyn Stoddard of PT5. In main time, the doors to the parallel time room are boarded up to keep the kids out of it. (DS: Infinity)
1979, JULY- William Collins, Jamison Collins and J.R. Loomis find an abandoned canoe on the grounds of Collinwood. From the shore off Widow’s Hill, they drift down the current to Portland. (DS: Children)
1979, WINTER- (PT6) William Collins witnesses the murder of his parents in a trip to New York City. (Ally McBeal: Resurrection)
1980, October- Lizzie Loomis is born to Willie and Carolyn.
1980, SUMMER- William Collins, Jamison Collins and J.R. Loomis attend summer camp for the first time. William makes the friendships that will last him a lifetime with Theo Huxtable, Ross Gellar, Mike Seaver, Joe Hackett and Fox Mulder under camp counselor Angus MacGyver.
1981, February 13- Actress Lara Parker appears on “The Muppet Show.” (DS: Muppets)
1981, CHRISTMAS- The Collins family celebrates the holidays. (DS: Holidays)
1982, October- David Collins opens the Collinsport Ghost Society in the space of the old Trask Mortuary.
1983, February- Carolyn "Carrie" Collins is born to David in his first marriage.
1985, January 14- Sara Collins discovers her mother’s old spell book and accidentally sends Dr. Julia Hoffman and Willie Loomis back to the founding of Collinsport in 1681. (DS: Revelations)
1985,August- Dr. Julia Hoffman passes away at 62.
1985, SUMMER- Quentin Collins meets director Robert Zemeckis who is in Maine to do some fishing. Zemeckis sees William Collins returning from 1961 in a time traveling trans-am and gets the idea for the movie, “Back to the Future.” (DS: Time-Track)
1985,November- Joe Haskell passes away at 44. He leaves behind three children with his wife Roxanne Harridge-Haskell.
1986, SUMMER- William Collins follows his Uncle David Collins into his first parapsychological study into the paranormal in California’s infamous Vannacutt Sanitarium.
1986, May- On his first solo paranormal study in Manhattan, William Collins is arrested for trespassing in a condemned building but makes a long friendship with Judge Harry T. Stone.
1987, SPRING- Angelique Collins gets a flyer from Curious Goods in Chicago, Illinois over objects she bought from the store which she had owned previously in the Eighteenth Century. (F13: Conundrum)
1989, SUMMER- William Collins wanders into a pub in Boston named Cheers and hustles pool for the first time.
1989, FALL- Angelique becomes fearful her son may never have a true love. She tries pairing him off with Sabrina Spellman, Phoebe Halliwell and Amanda Stephens, the second daughter of Samantha Stephens. Maggie Evans-Collins has more luck getting him to date Paula Anderson, the waitress at the diner. (DS: Romance)
1990, December- Liz Stoddard passes away at 73. She confesses to Carolyn that Victoria was her sister. Roger retires leaving his position to Willie.
1990, May- Lizzie Loomis shocks the school board by singing “Like A Virgin” at the Collinsport High School Talent Show. Maggie discovers her daughter, Amanda Collins, has romantic feelings for her cousin, William. (DS: The Next Generation)
1991, January 13- Dan Curtis brings to television Angelique’s novel in a short-lived miniseries starring Ben Cross, Jean Simmons and Joanna Going.
1991, May- Roger Elliot Collins is born to David and Hallie Collins. It is David’s third marriage.
1991,August- Christopher Loomis is born to Willie and Carolyn.
1993, April- William Collins has a dream in the middle of an illness that he travels back in time to 1897 and meets his parents and Dr. Julia Hoffman. The dream turns out to be true when he returns to the present and Count Andreas Petofi switches bodies with him to escape the authorities.
Quentin rips the wall off the doors to the parallel timeline to trap Petofi in parallel time. (DS: Time-Shift)
1994, October 25- Three college student vanish in Burkitt’s Woods near Burkittsville, Maryland. In Collinsport, Maine, Sara Collins is attacked and raped at Lookout Point, but is rescued by a figure in black.
Willie Loomis sees a guy looking like Quentin on the TV series, “Falcon Crest.” (DS: Halloween)
1995, August- Housekeeper Sara Matilda Johnson passes away at 74.
1996- David and Hallie get a divorce over irreconcilable differences. She gets custody of their son.
1997, Summer- Roger Collins starts chemo to treat his cancer.
1998- William Collins heads to Boston to meet his Internet pen pal Elaine Vassal and falls in love with her friend Ally McBeal.
1998, September 9- Sara Collins drags a girl her brother is dating, Ally McBeal, to Collinsport for his birthday.
Quentin Collins is confronted by a private investigator named Sabrina Duncan who resembles Daphne Harridge, one of the ghosts of Collinwood. (DS: Ally)
1998, October- Fox Mulder and Dana Scully head to Collinsport on a follow-up of the murders Maxwell Smart experienced in 1967. (DS: X-Files)
1999- William Collins marries Paula Anderson on a whim. (PT3) William Collins and Ally McBeal get married after a long relationship.
2000, December 1- (PT3) Barnabas and Angelique’s granddaughter is born. Georgia Angelique Collins is the daughter of William and Ally Collins.
2001, January 9- Allison Angelique Collins is born to William and Paula Collins. She is the first granddaughter of the main time Barnabas and Angelique.
2001, September 13- (PT3) Elaine “Lainey” Renee Collins is born. She is the daughter of William and Ally Collins.
2001, October- (PT3) William Collins talks about haunted houses on a Halloween episode of the Detroit cable TV series, “Tool Time,” with Tim Taylor and Al Borland. He also investigates a so-called psychic that calls his mother a former witch and his father a former vampire. He discovers the truth of the William Collins buried in the mausoleum at Eagle Hill. 2001,July- Roger Collins passes away at 76.
2003, SPRING- (PT3) Vampire Nick Knight heads to Collinsport upon hearing of a rumor of a witch that removed a vampire curse. (DS: Vampires)
2004, February 14- Maddie Harrington announces to Ally McBeal that she is her daughter. (PT3) Married to Ally, William Collins adopts Maddie so that she will gain everything befitting a member of the Collins family, including an inheritance and college education. (Ally McBeal: Another Kick in the Head)
2004, FALL- Barnabas Collins senses an unholy presence in the air as vampire killer Buffy Summers tries to cure Sabrina Spellman who is now a vampire. (Sabrina: Bloodlust)
2005, Winter- Barnabas and Angelique travel to the South Pacific to visit Adam Collins and his wife on their island home. Maxwell Smart also arrives on the island searching Dr. Boris Balingkoff who wants to study Adam for the secrets of Dr. Edward Lang. (Gilligan’s Island: Monsters)
2005, March 13- William Russell Collins is born to William and Paula Collins. He is the first grandson of the main time Barnabas and Angelique.
2005, May - William Collins is murdered by his unbalanced cousin, Amanda Collins, who turns the gun on herself. The police report the case as a double murder to spare Collins Family of the disgrace. (PT3) After the loss of her husband, Ally McBeal-Collins slips into deep depression. (DS: Future Imperfect)
2006, September – (PT3) Just before departing Collinsport for the last time, Ally McBeal-Collins stumbles into a parallel timeline (PT7) where her husband is alive and married to her best friend Georgia. (Ally McBeal: Parallel)
2006, September – (PT8) A glimpse into an alternate reality where William married Sondra Huxtable, the sister of an old friend. (Ally McBeal: Parallel)
2006, May- Elizabeth “Lizzie” Loomis is the tenth out of twelve contestants to be voted off of American Idol. She gets a recording contract anyway. (DS: Changes)
2007, FALL- William Haskell is born to Joe Haskell II (son of Joe Haskell) and Sara Collins-Haskell.
2010, June- Jamison Collins marries Brenda Cooper from Cape Side, Massachusetts.
2011- Christopher Loomis graduates valedictorian from college with a major in calculus and minor in literature.
2012, August- Comedian J.R. Loomis stars in his first motion picture.
2016- Angelique Collins gets a phone call from her granddaughter, Lainey Collins, wanting money to get breast implants. Angelique nixes the teenager’s plans. (Ally McBeal: Security)
2022- (PT3) William Brian Collins is born out of wedlock to Lainey Collins. (Ally McBeal: Grandma)
2025- (P3) Elizabeth “Lizzie” Loomis sues Playboy Magazine for publishing nude art photos she had posed for in Miami, Florida. Her lawyer is her niece, Georgia Collins. Former New York representative Christine Sullivan-Stone presides over the case.
2025- (PT3) Georgia Collins tries to open her father’s murder investigation, but her mother impedes her progress. (Ally McBeal: Cover-Up)
2039- William Russell Collins introduces the current family to his new wife, Laura Murdoch-Collins. Angelique Bouchard-Collins dies in a freak accident. Returning through her granddaughter, Angelique Haskell, Angelique permanently destroys the Phoenix by calling upon the Egyptian Gods. The ghost of Victoria Winters appears for the first time. (DS: Eternity)
2065- Sara Collins-Haskell passes away, leaving the estate to her nephew, William Russell Collins. Her daughter, Angelique Haskell, departs for England.
2369- (PT3) Rachel Margaret Collins inherits Collinwood from her father, Barnabas Quentin Collins. Her sister Ally and brother Johnathan get positions in Starfleet. Ares, the Olympian god of war, takes over the USS Voyager to use the Holodeck to return Xena to life. (Star Trek: Journeys)
2375- (PT3) Allison Marie Collins, a descendant of William Benjamin Collins, makes peace with her brother, Johnathan Archibald Collins, the new ship’s doctor on Starfleet’s USS Voyager.
2378- (PT3) The ghosts of William and Amanda Collins haunt Collinwood as Angelique Haskell, the reincarnation of Angelique Bouchard-Collins, returns to Collinwood. (DS: Forever)
